Meet Bailey

My passion in life is designing and making unique and meaningful pieces of jewelry. I am a Wilmington native and Cape Fear Academy alumna. From an early age, it was clear that my life would lead me on a pursuit of various artistic endeavors from finger-painting to interior design. My love of art in all forms quickly focused on jewelry starting at age five when my father began the tradition of giving me a piece of jewelry every year for my birthday. It became a ritual that I would look forward to every year.

As a part of my artistic journey I attended the Lamar Dodd School of Art at The University of Georgia. It was there that I found a way to combine my love of jewelry with my desire to create. Upon graduating I returned to Wilmington, set up a jewelry studio, and as they say – the rest is history!

I am passionate about making jewelry that not only tells a story, but that also lasts a lifetime. I believe that jewelry is a great way for people to express themselves and that the story of how jewelry is given or received enhances the piece of jewelry that much more. In response to my desire to create meaningful jewelry, I have designed a line that is based on the pattern found in a fingerprint. The concept of identity is inherent in each piece, and whether you choose to wear your own fingerprint or that of a loved one, this jewelry is sure to become a treasured family heirloom. Whether it is this fingerprint collection, entitled ‘Be by Bailey,’ or my others, I would love to work with you to create a custom piece that you or someone special in your life will covet for years to come.
